Heat Controller v2.0

HCv2.0 is the latest upgrade to our line of drysuit heating technology. As a modern improvement to our first design, this more robust controller board features a ramp up circuit to prevent voltage spikes from the inrush of current.

The heat controller is designed to go inline between a battery canister and heated drysuit systems, and is available lid-integrated or as a stand-alone unit. A lid with an integrated heat controller will be indicated by a tab of red heat-shrink on the cord.

It is recommended to use a HC integrated battery pack for heated undergarments ONLY. Plugging a light head into an E/O inline with a heat controller can cause damage to your light head and potentially void the warranty.

How it works - Light Monkey Heat Controller v2.0

When switching the power on, the output will be at 100%. By toggling the lid switch off/on, the power going to the heated undergarment is reduced, and burn time extended. Simply repeat this process until the ideal power level is reached. Power levels available are 100%, 80%, 60%, and 40%. To reset back to 100%, simply switch the canister off for ten seconds.

If utilizing a Stand-Alone HCv2.0, the indicator LED will flash for every dropdown in power.

  • 100% - Indicator remains on
  •   80% - 3 Flashes
  •   60% - 2 Flashes
  •   40% - 1 Flash
